15th Anniversary Dinner at Setia SPICE Convention Centre

We want to thank all our sponsors and donors for our recent fundraising 15th Anniversary Dinner held at Setia SPICE Convention Centre on the 12th Oct, 2019.It was truly a meaningful and wonderful evening with YB Dr Lee Boon Chye- Deputy Health Minister as our guest of honour. Collaboration with Green Hero

In line with our 15th Anniversary celebration this year, Charis Hospice recently collaborated with Green Hero in bringing awareness on palliative care and also in reducing food wastage.

Palliative Care Awareness talks at various colleges in Penang

Since January 2019, we were able to arrange for talks on palliative care to the students and lecturers of various private colleges in Penang.

We are truly grateful for this opportunity to be able to bring such awareness to the students as it is never too early for them to know about it and to share it with their family & friends. We also informed them of the free palliative home care service provided by Charis Hospice to those who are having cancer and advanced terminal illnesses within Penang island.

Basic Caregiver’s Training Module 1 – Powerful Tools for Caregiving 2019

Charis Hospice together with Friends of Seniors (FOS) kicked off with our Basic Caregiver’s Training Module 1 on the 9th March, 2019 at our premise in Farlim. Attendance was good and we had 27 participants. We want to thank the team, which consist of the staff from Charis Hospice and Friends of Seniors together with our volunteer trainers for a successful event!

Straits Quay Christmas Bazaar & Levin’s Line Dance Group

Charis Hospice would like to thank our handicraft ladies for their time and effort in helping us raise RM2,548 through their sale on Saturday at the Straits quay Christmas Bazaar. Great job, ladies!!

And on Sunday, we had 120 line dancers from all over Penang who came to join in Levin’s Line Dance group to give support to Charis Hospice and bring awareness on palliative care! Visit by Olive Tree Hotel Departmental Heads

The Olive Tree Hotel team that comprised of 15 departmental heads together with their Executive Director, Ms Andrea Cheah, visited our Multi Activity Centre (MAC) on the 24th October, 2018. The team provided lunch for our MAC patients, volunteers and staff and everyone had a wonderful time getting to know each other.

Charis Hospice would like to thank the Disted College hospitality students who were able to raise RM2000 from their recent Spooktacular Fiesta 2018 held at their college in Georgetown on the 28th October, 2018.
